In December 2021, India supplied 63.32 million tons of coal to the power industry, up by 20.06% from December 2019. India’s coal power demand is growing while the imports are restricted due to high import prices.

During the given period, India’s coal power generation was up by 11.84% compared to the same month in 2019, and it rose by 13.17% from the previous month.
