Steel Dynamics, Inc. (SDI), a steel producer based in Indiana, planned to establish two production lines of coated steel products in order to assist the flat rolling mill in Texas, and it will also add two coating production lines in the Midwestern United States.

Among them, one is the galvanizing line with an annual capacity of 300,000 short tons, and one is a painting line with an annual capacity of 240,000 short tons.

SDI explained that the flat rolling mill will be opened at the end of summer, and the coating production lines were expected to operate in the second half of 2022.

The coating production line is SDI's latest investment plan, whose products are used in the construction industry.
