Since US steel mills were full of
orders and raised their prices last week, the prices of cold-rolled coils and
hot-dip galvanized coils set new records again, which increased by US$20/ton
and US$30/ton respectively on April 15 compared to a week ago.
Steel mills confirmed that spot orders can be maintained until June. Some
factories may not be able to provide spot goods for June. According to dealers,
as prices go up, supply is very tight. In the next few months, domestic
supplies will be used up soon.
Market participants said that the supply of hot-dip galvanized coils is tight
throughout the year. If SDI's plant expansion plan goes smoothly, the market
supply will increase in 2022.
