It was reported that India’s JSW Steel and Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct a feasibility study of an establishment of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet manufacturing and sales joint-venture company in India. The feasibility study was expected to be completed within the current fiscal year 2021.

Due to the stable growth of demand for electric power, the adoption of renewable energy, and vehicle electrification, it was expected that the use of grain-oriented electrical steel sheets in transformers will keep growing in India and worldwide.
