It was reported that the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China is currently forming an action plan for peaking carbon dioxide emissions before 2030.

The plans of implementation for peaking carbon emissions in industries, such as electricity, steel, non-ferrous metals, petrochemicals, building materials, construction, and transportation, are under research and development.

Meanwhile, the NDRC is also actively planning some safeguard projects related to the low-carbon and green technology and the improvement in carbon credit, so as to complete the timetable for carbon emission peak and carbon neutrality.
