Kyocera Corporation’s high-color-rendering LED lights were recently adopted by the Wacoal New Kyoto Building to beautify the appearance of the building.

Kyocera’s high color-rendering LED lamp combines purple LED with phosphor coordination technology and optical design technology to achieve delicate and rich color effects. This not only adds Kyoto-style soft tones to the Wacoal New Kyoto Building, but also shows the light intensity gradient effect to the fullest.

The high-color-rendering LED light used this time dimmes the red, blue, green, and white light emitted by the purple LED, achieving an unprecedented color effect in the field of exterior lighting in Japan.

In addition, Kyocera’s photovoltaic power generation system (36kW) is installed on the roof of the building, which can power the exterior lighting of the building for 3 to 4 hours per day. Therefore, environmental protection is also fully considered in the design.

Kyocera high color rendering LED is a high color rendering light similar to sunlight that combines purple LED with RGB (red, green, blue) phosphors and optical design technology. The characteristic is that its color widely includes color components in the visible light region, which can bring delicate color effects that ordinary LED lights cannot achieve. Accordingly, customized products and services can be provided according to the diverse needs of customers.

Based on the above characteristics, Kyocera's high color rendering LED lights are widely used in exhibition lighting of museums and art galleries, outdoor lighting of shrines and temples, medical surgical lights, color detection and many other fields.

The exterior lighting representing the corporate image of Wacoal was designed by Japanese artist Takahashi Masita, and the theme is "veil of silky light". In order to use light to show the "silk" image of the company building, the advantages of LED lights are maximized to achieve the visual effect of "silk-like whiteness".

The Wacoal New Kyoto Building has a total of 7 floors. Kyocera LED lights are installed at the bottom of all windows along the road on the 2nd to 7th floors. A total of 432 sets of LED lights are managed by the master control system. The natural and soft light presented by Kyocera's high-color LED lights not only blends perfectly with the streetscape of Kyoto, but also shows unique beauty through dynamic effects.

Under normal circumstances, the exterior lighting of the building will show a soft white light, but every hour, it will transform into the representative color of Wacoal, and it will transform into a color that symbolizes seasonal changes every 30 minutes. The duration is 5 minutes.
