Brazil's foreign trade authority, CAMEX, has implemented definitive anti-dumping (AD) duties on stainless steel pipe imports from India and Taiwan, valid for five years. This decision was a result of an investigation initiated based on a complaint filed by the Brazilian Stainless Steel Association (APRODINOX).
The AD duty rate is US$397.42/ton to US$1,207.06/ton to India, while Taiwan faces a duty of US$1,258.77/ton.
The products involved are austenitic stainless steel welded pipes of grades 304 and 316, of circular cross-section, with an external diameter from 6 mm (1/4 inch) to 2,032 mm (80 inches) and a thickness between 0.40 mm and 12.70 mm. These products are under tariff codes 7306.40.00 and 7306.90.20 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM).
