According to the statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in the first five months of this year, the automobile manufacturing industry reached a total profit of around RMB 247.5 billion, increasing by 81.1% compared to the same period a year ago. The growth was less than that in the January-April period, and it was slightly lower than the growth of industrial enterprises above designated size in the same period.

The profit from January to May accounted for 7.2% of the total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size.
