Recently, Jiqingbao Village in Wofosi Town, Zhuolu County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, has seen a new transformation at night. Ten solar streetlights have been lit up in the back alleys, interweaving with the main thoroughfare lights to create a network, completely ending the history of darkness beneath the lights. This public welfare project is being jointly implemented by the Wofosi Town Government and the village work team of the Municipal Night View Lighting Management Center.

During their routine visits, the village work team discovered that while the main roads in the village were illuminated, the narrow side alleys lacked nighttime lighting, posing a significant safety hazard, especially in rainy and snowy weather. "Walking in the dark is frightening, and the elderly and children are even more worrying." The villagers' concerns were quickly translated into action. The town government spearheaded a special task force, which, in conjunction with the village committees, conducted on-site surveys of alley slopes, spacing, and other data. They then developed a precise "one street, one plan" to ensure that each streetlight was installed where it was most needed, truly alleviating the concerns of the people and warming their hearts.

The Wofosi Town Government coordinated resources, the resident work team provided technical guidance, and the village committees and village representatives participated in oversight throughout the process. From site selection and foundation construction to equipment commissioning, the staff, overcoming scorching temperatures, completed the entire installation in just two weeks. With the new streetlights, damaged fixtures were also repaired, bringing the village's nighttime lighting coverage to 100%. Corners once hidden in hidden alleys are now as bright as day.

The Jiqingbao Village lighting upgrade project is reportedly a key component of Wofosi Town's annual assistance plan. Moving forward, the town will focus on small streetlights and continue to promote "micro-projects" such as rural road hardening and environmental improvements. These initiatives aim to enhance people's sense of gain through tangible changes and contribute to rural revitalization.
