According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending on December 27, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.695 million net tons, decreasing by 1.7% from the same period a week ago and rising by 1.8% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 74.0%, down by 1.3 percentage points week on week and by 1.0 percentage points year on year.

As of the week ending on December 27, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 89.301 million net tons, rising by 3.4% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 76.7%, up by 1.3 percentage points year on year.
