According to a report released by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on July 1, the Biden government has to remove the Trump administration’s tariffs imposition on imported steel and aluminum, washing machines, solar panels, and a series of goods imported from China.

The IMF said in this report that the regulation of “Buy American”, which was implemented by the previous administration, should be strengthened and tightly controlled to make it be in line with the US international obligations. These policies should be reconsidered, including the decrease in trade restrictions and additional tariffs.
