According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 50,900 tons of cold-rolled coils (CRC) in May, which slightly reduced by 0.4% compared to the previous month while hiking by 226.5% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 37,500 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.6% and a year-on-year surge of 200.3%. Canada ranked second with around 12,300 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.
During the period, the export value was around US$61 million, up by 3.9% month on month and soaring by 302.6% year on year.
