According to statistics, Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture’s ferrochrome production totaled nearly 200,000 tons in the first half of this year, up by 65.8% compared to the same period a year ago, when the ferrochrome production was affected by the local mining shutdowns.
In the second quarter of 2021, Merafe's ferrochrome production was 96,000 tons, a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 6.8%.
The gradual increase in the current output was due to less impact from the COVID-19 epidemic, and the efficiency at smelters has increased.
