ArcelorMittal Brazil has announced that its No.3 rolling mill in João Monlevade, Minas Gerais, Brazil will begin operations in January 2022, driven by market demand and economic growth prospects.

The company has allocated approximately R$580 million for the new plant with an annual capacity of 1 million tons of long products. The production will be moved on gradually and in line with market demand.

This plant was built in 2015. It is waiting for better market conditions to start operating.
