Australian Strike Resources to ship first shipment of Peru's iron ore

Australian mining company Strike Resources has announced that it will transport the first iron ore shipment from the Apurimac mine in Peru.

This shipment of about 35,000 tons of high-grade premium lump direct shipping ore will take about 32 days to be shipped to China.

Strike Resource's Apurimac mine is located in the southern highlands of Peru and owns 269.4 million tons of minerals comply with the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code), including 142.2 million tons of indicative resources with an iron content of 57.8% and 127.2 million tons of inferred resources with an iron content of 56.7%.

It can also be mined in an open pit, with an annual output of up to 20 million tons of iron ore concentrate and an annual processing volume of 20-27 million tons.
