Tata Steel, an Indian multinational steelmaking company, announced that it has launched a steel recycling plant in Rohtak, Haryana.

This steel recycling plant, with was jointly set up with M/s Aarti Green Tech Ltd., has an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons.

Meanwhile, Tata Steel also launched two new brands of scrap, Tata FerroBaled and Tata FerroShred, for the baled and shredded ferrous scrap produced in this new facility. Tata Steel aimed to reduce the dependency on scrap imports by actively purchasing scrap from the domestic market.
