According to the data from the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru (MINEM), Peru produced around 1.2 million tons of iron ore in July, increasing by nearly 5% compared to the previous month and also rising by 52% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the production from Shougang Hierro Perú, the main domestic iron ore producer in Peru, accounted for 98.2% of the total nation’s output.
In the first seven months of this year, Peru’s iron ore production amounted to approximately 7.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 100.2%.
