According to the announcement from ArcelorMittal, one of the leading steelmakers in the world, it would invest around EUR 11 billion in Germany, to build its new steel mill.

By the news, the mill would focus on environmentally friendly production of steel, aimed to decrease the footprint of carbon dioxide, expected to reduce 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide emission for every 1 million tons of green steel produced.

The mill would be also held by the German government, covered 50% of the investment.
