According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ended October 16, the production of US’ crude steel totaled 1.882 million short tons, increasing by 1.3% from the same period a week ago and also rising by 21.5% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 85.3%, up by 1.1% week on week and also going up by 15.2% year on year.
As of the week ended October 16, the adjusted production of US’ crude steel has amounted to 75.149 million short tons this year, a year-on-year increase of 20.3%. The capacity utilization rate was 81.3%, a year-on-year growth of 14.2%.
