Global copper smelting continues its recovery in October. Copper smelting in China is going up after the third quarter.

With SAVANT's index, smelters are operating at the average level of the last 12 months. Its global index for copper goes up to an average of 52.2 in October while the global index for nickel increased to 46.

Although the big dropping in production in China due to power restrictions, nickel production still moves higher.

SAVANT's Index is tracking more than 100 smelters representing 80-90% of production in the world.
