Ferrexpo plc, a Swiss-headquartered iron ore company, reported its iron ore pellet production (including pellet and fines) of around 3.1 million tons in the fourth quarter of 2021, increasing by 17% compared to the previous quarter while dropping by 2% from the same period a year ago.

Among them, the production of iron ore pellets was around 3.06 million tons, a quarter-on-quarter hike of 18% and a year-on-year decline of 1%.

Ferrexpo’s operations and logistics during the quarter were less affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. In 2021, the production of iron ore pellets and fines amounted to approximately 11.45 million tons.

With the completion of the pellet line upgrade, the prospect of high-quality and high-grade iron ore pellets will be very optimistic in 2022.
