In the past week, the price of most of the flat products in the Turkish market kept going up as the strong demand sustained the price level.
Meanwhile, a power outage has just caused a 3-day suspension of Turkish electric furnace factories. Along with the increasing energy cost, steel prices in Turkey almost climbed upwards every single day.
This week, local hot-rolled coil manufacturers said that they have received enough orders to fill their production lines till April. Some of the steel mills even closed their offer of April and start to provide quotations for May.
