Atlas Iron, a subsidiary of Hancock Prospecting, announced that it has obtained its first batch of iron ore at its Miralga Creek iron ore mine in Western Australia earlier than expected.

The Miralga Creek project is an extension of the Abydos iron ore mine, located around 100km southeast of Port Hedland. It was previously expected to get the first ore in April 2022.

The Miralga Creek mine was expected to produce 8 million tons of iron ore in its three-to-four-year mine life.
