China Steel Corporation (CSC),
the largest carbon steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its new prices for
February yesterday (January 13), with an increase of hot-rolled, cold-rolled,
and galvanized steel by NT$2,200-2,500/ton.
Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHSC), a carbon steel producer under CSC was
expected to follow CSC’s price increase, and prices for certain products may be
even higher.
According to market participants, the price increase of hot-rolled steel was
expected to be similar to CSC’s adjustment at NT$2,200-2,400/ton, while that of
cold-rolled steel and galvanized steel may be up to NT$2,500-3,000/ton.
