According to the preliminary
Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported
around 82,600 tons of cold-rolled coils in December 2020, rising by 14.5%
compared to the previous month while dropping by 29.7% from the same month a
year earlier.
Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion,
totaling roughly 31,128 tons, a month-on-month increase of 27.1% and a
year-on-year decrease of 27.4%. Other import sources included Australia (around
9,000 tons), South Korea (around 7,400 tons), the UK (around 7,000 tons), and
Mexico (around 6,400 tons).
