In the past week, the domestic
price of cold-rolled steel and galvanized coil in Europe kept rising because
the market is in a short supply.
European steel mills currently only have a few stocks left for the second
quarter, and they are already available to order materials for the third
quarter.
Market participants said that if carmakers cut their production due to a
shortage of auto chips, it might have an impact on the demand for cold-rolled
and galvanized steel. However, some thought the short supply of cold-rolled and
galvanized steel will affect all related downstream industries, including the
car field.
