According to statistics released by the
National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, China’s iron ore production
totaled around 86.9 million tons in April, increasing by nearly 6.3% compared
to the previous month and also up by 11.7% from the same month a year ago. The
imports during the period were around 98.6 million tons, a year-on-year
increase of 2.98%.
In the first four months of this year, China’s iron ore production amounted to
approximately 322.7 million tons, hiking by 18.6% from the same period a year
earlier. The imports had a year-on-year increase of 6.7% to roughly 382 million
tons.
