According to the preliminary Census Bureau
data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 72,400
tons of cold-rolled flat products in April, falling by nearly 30% compared to
the previous month and also dropping by almost 26% from the same month a year
earlier.
Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion,
totaling roughly 43,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.76% and a
year-on-year increase of 27.6%. Other import sources included Mexico (around
6,500 tons), South Korea (around 6,000 tons), the UK (around 4,200 tons), and
the Netherlands (around 4,100 tons).
During the period, the import value totaled US$76 million, down by 23% month on
month and up by 6.3% year on year.
