According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development,
Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), Brazil exported approximately 27 million
tons of iron ore in May, going up by 4.3% in the previous month and hiking by
24.2% from the same month a year ago. The export value was around US$3.5
billion, up by 2.9% from last month, skyrocketing by 156% year on year.
In the first five months of 2021, Brazil exported roughly 134 million tons,
increasing by 16.1% from the same period last year. Among them, China was the
major destination, followed by Malaysia and Bahrain.
