According to 2021 World Steel in Figures released by the
World Steel Association (worldsteel), there were 11 countries with steel
imports of more than 10 million tons in 2020.
Among them, China ranked first with 37.9 million tons. The European Union (28)
and the US accounted for 3.26 million tons and 1.99 million tons, respectively.
In addition, Germany, Italy, Vietnam, Turkey, France, South Korea, and Poland
entered the top ten in 2020.
At present, China's crude steel production has also repeatedly hit record
highs. The crude steel production of China reached 375 million tons in the
period of January-April 2021. The difficulty of achieving negative growth in
China's crude steel output will be higher and higher in the future.
