Recently, the Baoshan City Soil Fertilizer and Plant Protection and Inspection Station of Yunnan Province successfully completed the installation, commissioning and acceptance of intelligent wind-suction solar insect-killing lamps purchased with the central agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation and water conservancy disaster relief funds in Changning County.

The intelligent wind-suction solar insect-killing lamp is a new energy-saving and environmentally friendly insect-killing lamp that can effectively reduce the use of chemical pesticides, reduce the potential risks of pesticide residues to the environment and human health, and kill pests through physical means to maintain the balance of farmland ecosystems and promote biodiversity development. To ensure that the insect-killing lamp can play the best prevention and control effect and protect crops from pests to the greatest extent. Based on the full consideration of local farmland distribution, pest activity patterns, topography and other factors, the installation site of the insect-killing lamp was selected on site. A total of 40 intelligent wind-suction solar insect-killing lamps were installed, including 25 in Manglai Village, Kejie Town, Changning County, and 15 in Longrun Village, Kasi Town, Changning County.

The commissioning of this batch of intelligent wind-suction solar insect-killing lamps is an important measure for Baoshan City to implement the concept of green development and promote sustainable agricultural development. The person in charge of the Municipal Soil Fertilizer and Plant Protection and Inspection Station said that the installation and acceptance of the insect-killing lamps is just the beginning, and the users will be urged to strengthen the daily maintenance and management of the insect-killing lamps to ensure their long-term stable operation.
