Hangzhou Wanshi Town Rural Lighting Project Lights up the Night Return Road in the Mountainous Area
With the full completion of the rural lighting project, a micro-project for people's livelihood, more than 100 street lamps in Wanshi Town have been renovated and upgraded, covering 16 villages and communities, benefiting more than 12,000 residents.

At the end of last year, Yang Shenghua, a representative of the People's Congress of Wanshi Town, received many complaints from the masses when he was receiving visitors at the town's People's Congress representative liaison center station: "The lights on the roads around our village are a bit dim at night, and some sections are pitch black, which poses a considerable safety hazard." This attracted Yang Shenghua's high attention. He visited the roads where villagers reported more complaints many times, and strengthened front-line visits, widely listening to and recording the opinions and suggestions of the masses.
In order to start the lighting renovation as soon as possible, the presidium of the town people's congress decided to include the project in the "micro-projects for people's livelihood" and implement it in accordance with the principle of "immediate collection and immediate implementation, and complete implementation well". It immediately conducted preliminary research and judgment with relevant departments of the town government to confirm that the project meets the policy orientation and requirements and has the conditions for implementation. Finally, the presidium of the town people's congress submitted it to the town leadership team meeting, and after being studied and approved, it officially became the first livelihood micro-project of Wanshi Town in 2025.
With the joint efforts of all parties, the rural lighting project took only 75 days from project approval to completion, and new street lights lit up on rural roads. This project not only illuminated the villagers' way home, but also activated the night economy.
