The 2025 Shanghai International Flower Show is about to open. In order to form a clustering effect with the flower show, the tree lights on the east section of Huaihai Middle Road in Huangpu District, Shanghai have been newly unveiled recently, bringing a night tour visual feast of "following the light to see the flowers" to citizens and tourists, adding a lot of interest to the night during the 2025 Shanghai International Flower Show. Many foreign tourists stopped to appreciate and take pictures.

In order to improve the pedestrian scale light environment and further enhance the commercial atmosphere, under the overall deployment of the district party committee and district government, the district greening and urban appearance bureau took the design theme of "more humanistic, more integrated, and more futuristic" and took the lead in implementing landscape lighting work along the east section of Huaihai Middle Road (Chongqing South Road-Tibet South Road), aiming to cooperate with the first store, first launch and marketing activities in the block, and enrich the excitement of night entertainment, night tours and night shopping.

This lighting project focuses on the street trees in the eastern section of Huaihai Middle Road. It is based on the "Baby's breath" lighting form and adheres to the setting method of "respecting nature and sparse and dense". Respecting nature means that the layout is based on the shape of the trees (such as the direction of the branches), and the natural lines are highlighted through the embellishment and refinement of lights, which reshapes the shape of the branches and shows the vitality of the branches growing and stretching upward; sparse and dense means that the technique of "moistening ink and fading" in painting is used, and the trees are installed from dense to sparse along the middle of the trunk, which not only strengthens the three-dimensional shape of the trees, but also creates an artistic atmosphere through the gradual change of light and shadow.

In addition, in places where the trees are lush and tourists stop, "birds and insects" themed lighting is specially added, which makes people bright with its playful shape and smart colors. These "elves" are either spinning or flapping their wings, which complements the beautiful night full of spring.
