Tangshan restricts steel production by 30% in H2

It was reported that most of steel mills’ blast furnaces in Tangshan's have resumed their production on July 2. However, the Tangshan government started to implement a policy of restricting steel production by 30% from July 2 to December 31, only the steel mills which have reached ultra-low emission could be excluded. Currently, the resumed blast furnaces are effectively resuming production according to their output goals.

The daily impacted molten iron volume still averaged around 100.6 million tons, dropping by 238,000 tons from June 28 to July 2, and the capacity utilization rate will rise to about 74%, up by 60.3% from June 28 to July.
