According to the latest statistics from Brazil’s Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC), Brazil’s iron ore exports hit a new high since September 2020, reaching 34.8 million tons in August, hiking by 10% compared to the previous month and also rising by 11.7% from the same month a year ago.
Vale, one of the biggest miners in the world, remained its production guidance at 315-335 million tons for 2021.
In the first half of this year, Vale recorded a year-on-year increase of 13% in its output, totaling 144 million tons.
