Li Hui, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Department of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), said on September 16 that the prices of copper, aluminum, and zinc are still at a high level.

Under the strong expectations by enterprises for the stable supply and prices of bulk commodities, the NDRC will closely track and monitor market price trends and changes in both supply and demand, continuing to release national reserves to the market.

The move was to ease the tightness between supply and demand among the industry as well as rationalize prices.
