After facing a monthly drop of 12.8% in sales in July this year, the sales made by steel distributors in Brazil showed positive results in August, with a 5% increase compared to July, totaling 274,500 tons.

So far this year, sales have reached 2.46 million tons, an increase of 11.2% over the same period of the previous year.

According to Carlos Loureiro, the executive president of the National Institute of Steel Distributors (INDA), the perspective for September is positive while the sales are expected to increase 2%.
