According to statistics, China’s galvanized steel strip production from 88 sample companies with 359 production lines totaled around 2.09 million tons in September, falling by 10.4% compared to the previous month and also sliding by 9.8% from the same month a year ago.

In the first nine months of this year, China’s galvanized steel strip production amounted to roughly 17.67 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.02%.

China’s galvanized steel strip companies will do their maintenance in October, and the production reduction might last for a period of time. Coupled with some output cuts during China’s National Day holiday and the low order volume in downstream industries, the production of China’s galvanized steel strip was expected to maintain at a low level, with a total output of approximately 1.9 million tons.
