According to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China, the daily coal output totaled 12.05 million tons on November 10, hitting a historic high. The figure was 120,000 tons higher than the previous daily record. The daily output in major coal-producing regions, including Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang, also hit the highest level in recent years.

The growth was due to the measures to increase coal production and supply, and it ensured China’s energy supply and stabilized prices, said NDRC.

With the increase in coal production and market supply, China’s power plants’ level of coal supply and coal inventory has further improved.
