According to the preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 126,300 tons of cold-rolled flat products in October, falling by 14.4% compared to the previous month while hiking by 49.6% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 58,600 tons, a month-on-month increase of 10.4% and a year-on-year hike of 88%. Other main import sources included Mexico (around 16,400 tons), Australia (around 14,600 tons), Vietnam (around 10,800 tons), and South Korea (around 6,800 tons).

During the period, the import value totaled around US$179 million, down by 7.4% month on month and surging by 178.5% year on year.
