Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, inaugurated Tata Steel's iron ore expansion plan to set up a beneficiation plant at Joda East Iron Mine (JEIM). Senior officials of Tata Steel also took part in the groundbreaking ceremony online.

D. B. Sundara Ramam, vice president of raw materials at Tata Steel, said that raw materials are essential to steel manufacturing. The JEIM iron ore beneficiation plant will be one of the important strategic plans to realize its expansion goals in the coming months.
