Evraz, a steel making and mining
company mainly operated in Russia, was reported that its daily pig iron output
will increase to 6,800 tons after the overhaul of blast furnace No.3 at its
Evraz ZSMK plant.
According to Evraz, after the equipment downtime at the Evraz ZSMK plant, the
output of pig iron was expected to increase slightly in the second quarter of
this year.
The total investment of this overhaul was 250 million rubles. The upgrade will
improve the productivity of the equipment, increase the turnaround time, as
well as reduce the impact on the environment caused by blast furnace operations.
