According to statistics, the iron
ore exports in Port Hedland, one of the major iron ore exporting ports in
Western Australia, totaled around 45.1 million tons in April this year, down by
3.4% compared to the previous month and also falling by 0.4% from the same
month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to China were around 36.3 million tons, a
month-on-month decrease of 4.8% and a year-on-year drop of 6.2%. South Korea
and Japan followed after China with exports of 4.3 million tons and 2.9 million
tons respectively.
